Even in high summer FEELGOOD CRETE is offering you guided, short walks
In the nice surroundings of VAMOS-KEFALAS between 5 – 10 KM. Look over the Souda Bay and visit a small chapel in a very different landscape with on the background always the white mountains.
Starting early morning at 8.00 a clock.
7 KM / 2 ½ HOURS . TERRAIN TARMAC AND GRAVEL TRACKS AT EASY TO MODERATE LEVEL WITH ONE STEEP CLIMB.
START AT THE CHURCH OF XIROSTERNI
The walk through the countryside and nice wooded areas with oak – and cypress trees and great views on the white mountains (Lefka Ori). We can make a stop at a taverna in Kefalas or on the way at a nice picnic area.
8 KM / 3 HOURS. TERRAIN TARMAC AND GRAVEL TRACKS AT MOSTLY EASY LEVEL.
START AT OUR HOUSE IN SOURI, OPPOSITE THE CHURCH.
A nice walk, also for older children and elder people, through the countryside with great views on the foothills of – and of course the white mountains with all the small villages on it. No taverna stop in this walk! Afterwards a drink at our house.
8 KM / 3 HOURS. TERRAIN TARMAC AND GRAVEL COUNTRY TRACKS AND A SECTION ON A DONKEY TRACK. THE TRACKS ARE MOST AT MODERATE LEVEL BUT ALSO HEAVY SECTIONS.
START AT GAVALOHORI MAIN SQUARE, NEAR THE MONUMENT.
A nice but rather heavy walk with great views on Souda bay and the mountain Andropos with the small villages on it. Visit the village of Douliana with a stop at a taverna. Afterwards, via a donkey track, we visit the cave church of St. John. Back in Gavalhori you can visit the museum.
NEO CHORIO- MACHERI-NEO CHORIO
8 KM / 3 HOURS. TERRAIN TARMAC, GRAVEL AND GRASSY TRACKS. MOST ON EASY AND MODERATE LEVEL. ONE STEEP CLIMB AND ONE STEEP DESCENT.
START AT THE SOUTHERN OUTSKIRT OF NEO-CHORIO.
A nice walk on the outskirts of Neo Chorio with a visit of the small village of Macheri below a high cliff with its small church and a nice taverna for a drink stop. From this village a nice view over the countryside and the Turkish Fort we visit later on the walk.
